Jan. 22nd, 2006: Extracurricular Oppurtunity with AIAA

Hello IEEE,My name is Ben Eckel. and I am a member of AIAA at LSU. LSU is currently undergoing processes that will incorporate Astronautics and Aeronautics as a curriculum opportunity and we are trying to start projects that can appeal incoming students interested in these fields. One of our projects revolves around designing and building a turbine jet engine and I have undertaken the electronic systems processes. Currently, I am working alone and I am trying to enlist some help. Some of the things we will or may be working with include basic circuit design and construction, programming micro-controllers, sensor networks, and possibly some desktop programming. I think this could be an important opportunity for interested IEEE members and an impressive project to put on your resumes. It will also provide connections with leading officials in the Astronautic and Aeronautic fields. For any who are interested, please e-mail me @ benjamin.eckel@gmail.com.
